Quadra Chemicals Ltd. is a growing, dynamic chemical distribution company with facilities across Canada. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to enhance our team. Based initially in Calgary or Edmonton, you will be responsible for contributing to our technical team, which is recognized as one of the top teams in our industry.
Working in the Energy group, your focus will be technical services associated with our broad line of gas processing products. The scope of the services include troubleshooting and optimization of field chemical applications including amine, sulphur, dehydration and associated facilities. Also included will be providing our clients with technical training as well as to our internal staff. Interpretation of chemical analyses and its relation to application is a big part of our responsibility.
Ideally, you have a degree in Chemical/Process Engineering and have had direct, hands-on experience in an operations environment, specifically in sour/acid gas treating, dehydration, gas separation and/or sulfur recovery, with a minimum of two years experience. The ability to work independently is a must, but the Quadra culture demands strong team skills as well. You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, individually and in a group setting. You are equally comfortable troubleshooting in the field or in a technical discussion with home office engineers. There will be a component of travel involved, approximately 40 %, mostly within Alberta but also some travel to Eastern Canada.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include:
- BSc Engineering.
- Eligible for registration in a Professional Engineering Association (or currently a member).
- At least 2 years experience with refinery operations / hydrocarbon gas processing.
- Proven computer skills, including Windows and Lotus programs.
