Quadra’s two Edmonton facilities feature enclosed, segregated storage for hazardous products, such as flammables, oxidizers and poisonous materials, and a segregated hot room for temperature-sensitive products. Committed to the ISO 9000 Quality Program and the Responsible Distribution® Code of Practice, our Edmonton facilities are fully equipped to safely process and package these specialty products.
The south facility has a large tank farm for liquid storage, along with handling, blending and repackaging capabilities to meet the specific needs of our customers. Rail access provides the capacity for unloading non-flammable products, and this facility has been updated for top loading of bulk trailers and unloading of ISO containers. Scaling for bulk trucks has been eliminated thanks to the use of mass-flow metering technology .
The north facility is a new addition to Quadra’s Edmonton operations. The facility features a methanol terminal with six top-unloading rail spots and a tank farm that can store up to 875,000 litres of bulk methanol. We use dry-connect technology and mass-flow metering for bulk truck loading. The facility is also a warehouse for various chemical materials.
Committed to food safety, Quadra’s north facility has a dedicated Nutritional and Functional Ingredients warehouse that strictly adheres to all Good Distribution Practices (GDP). (Certification pending.)
