Quadra is committed to Responsible Distribution®, an industry-wide initiative designed to continuously improve the Canadian chemical distribution industry in the areas of health, safety, and the environment. Quadra was a founding member of the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors (CACD) in 1985. Quadra's CEO and co-founder, Tony Infilise, is a former CACD president and served on the board of directors for 7 years. We continue to be actively involved with the CACD and have several Quadra employees serving on various committees.
Quadra has a high degree of respect for the environment, and health and safety within our organization. Our aim is to apply best business practices to meet high operating safety standards and conduct business responsibly.
Some of our programs include:
- After Hours Service: We are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to service our customers and respond to community emergency situations. 1-800-665-6553
- Responsible Distribution compliance: Our programs meet or exceed the requirements of the Distributor Code of Practice. We are proud to have our facilities verified for compliance by an independent third party auditing firm designated by the CACD.
- Environment, Health and Safety: Part of our commitment to health, safety and the environment takes the form of a program that provides information on potential workplace hazards, health and safety, incidents and practices and cultivates an environment conducive to supporting and improving our program.
- Regulatory Affairs: Ensuring compliance to various regulations such as: Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Canadian Environmental Protection act (CEPA), MSDS Management (Material Safety Data Sheets), etc.
- Emergency Response: A proactive approach is key to ensuring adequate preparedness and response and effective contingency management demands planning for prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. Community awareness is part of this program to heighten awareness.
- CORE Certified: The Alberta CORE audit is key for quality, health and safety in western Canada.
- ISNetworld: This program is key for our Energy group and is used to demonstrate Quadra capabilities and processes including Financial, Quality, Health and Safety, etc.
- Sustainability: We wish to ensure that there is ongoing consideration for the environment within our operations. Our practices and the development of future programs are part of our TQM (Total Quality Management) team mandate.
- Quality Policies, Procedures & Programs: Quadra has effective policies, procedures and programs for all facets of our organization.
